I am looking at a 02 500I auto Cat quad,and from what everyone says,they are somewhat pigs. I was riding my brothers 04 Kodiak 400 auto tonight,and it seemed pretty peppy. Would the 02 500 run like the Kodiak,,better,worse. Also,which bike would be more dependable.

 

The Kodiak will run away from the Cat..........I know, I did it !........convincingly.

 

I have an 02 500 act and could not be happier. It has about 3000 miles on it know, nothing but gas & oil (besides cleaning the air filter). 9 times out of ten I am pulling a loaded boat through the bush with it as well.

I owned a Kodiak, and my inlaws have that cat. Both are incredibly reliable machines. The Kodiak is much lighter, and faster then that cat, but depending on what you're doing, that may not mean anything.
