I've been looking on ebay (which sucks) and http://www.atvtraderonline.com to find a quad for the wife.

What are some other good places, online or not, to find used quads?

 

Check out the regular ATV dealerships - Several around here to a fairly brisk consignment business for used quads. Most of the dealers aren't making very much $$$ on these quads so they are priced realistically.

You can also check local classifieds or trader newspapers. The only problem that I've found with those is that around here at least, people are trying to sell used quads that are several years old at prices within a few hundred dollars of new MSRP. But, every once in a while a good one comes along.

Heres another reason to join an atv club.
Guys are always upgrading and know of others who are upgrading. Plus, youre dealiing with knowledgable guys, who can help you look over the new purchace before you put your money is in it.
Check out the local motorcycle /atv parts store, sometimes there a bullitin board of quads and bikes for sale.

Its a bunch of people like me and you, who get together for rides and occasionally do some trail work, and try to put on a good image for the public. Its a way to meet people who have the same hobby, and share good times and information.

First thing you should do is go to the "Where to Ride" section of this forum and check-in with the Puget Sound/NW Area Riders. Great group of people.

A good resource for finding used quads is... Craigslist. Right now there is an '04 Suzuki LT-Z250. It's been there for at least a month, so the sellers might be more motivated.

 

I believe it's a nationwide publication - but not positive - but go to your local supermarket and look for .Cycle Trader (or just click this link)
