450r vs. yfz450

i am 5'9 190lbs. I am looking into a new quad in the next few seasons. i have a very modded 400ex rite now. i want 2 know which quad would be better for me for my height and weight. dont think im going to grow to much more since my parents r only 5'8 and 5'4. I am an agressive rider and take very long 50 mile long rides.

They're both excellent quads dude. It's pretty much your choice...
Some prefer the YFZ, others prefer the R; but anyone who argues/assures one is better than the other, is a cybernetically immature moron.

I pick the Yamaha for the track, freestyle jumping, and play riding. (I spent an afternoon trail riding the Yamaha, and it was no fun at all.......very harsh suspension).
I pick the Honda for everything else. It is great for fast riding in open country. It can be adapted to the trail, but needs a gearing change (it is geared way tall).
Neither of these machines does well on very slow technical or even semi-technical trails...........the kind of stuff where your 400EX is superb. Both have engines that need to be ridden revved out, and they just don't do well at a slow pace.

Well I definetly can see myself being extremely picky on which machine to take for every different ATV riding trip, if I had money to spare to buy a quad for sand, a quad for track, a quad for mud, a quad for trails, a quad for semi technical trails, a quad for superduper techincal trails, and so on...
But, since like most people, I can only afford one maybe two ATV's for myself, and being that the acronym "ATV" stands for "All Terrain Vehicle"; I ride my 450R on all kinds of places from the beach, to the desert, to the woods, to the local mx track, and pretty much anywhere else.
And I still find it's a stellar choice of ATV.

thanks. Is the yfz small for most riders? i dont mind the beating i would take on the yfz since 400ex stock shocks suck.
