Where would a guy be able to find the year on a 2003 500 auto quad.

 

Isnt there one or more white stickers, from production, above the wheels somewhere in on some frame parts? I thought they had various pieces of info on them.
Doesnt the title you have include the year. I am sure mine does.

I have not picked up the quad yet,,bought it on e-bay,just want to make sure everything is up to snuff.

 

ok. well, there should be a title, like a car, and I would assume some ID numbers must be on the atv somewhere.
it guess it is fair enough to want to check it...

The state that I am buying it from has no titles on atv,,I am just told that I need a notarized bill of sale to title it in my state.

 

You can verify model year from serial #. It is located two places on unit. It comes with a white sticker on frame above rear tire. Sticker usually gets worn off, but it is stamped in frame right beside sticker. It is also on frame in front of engine, but harder to see or get to. The serial will read 4UF03ATV00X000000. The 03 behind the 4UF is the year. 02s would be 4UF02, 04s would be 4UF04,etc,.. It is good to verify year because many people remember when they bought it but are not sure of the year. They may have bought an 02 in 03?

 

you may also want to ask for the "certificate of origin" or "certificate of manufacture" from the seller... Mine looks all fancy like a Title, but it comes from the manufacturer with the bike new and has VIN and date of manufacture type info on it...I know you don't need it to title it, but some states you do...
