Default Binding sound when I stand on the quad and rock side to side? Any idea?

I just put on my Roll Design pegs so I stood on the quad and shifted side to side and there was a wierd noise.

It almost sounds like something in the rear, swingarm maybe is popping in and out. I checked all the bolts and all seems fine. Is this normal? Any ideas?

I'm headed to Silver Lake in the morning and now I'm worried...

Did you check the upper swingarm bolt, shock mount bolts, and carrier bearings? Can't think of anything else it would be.

Grab your axle and carrier and have someone jerk your bike back and forth and feel for popping. It's most likely play in your axle bearing or swingarm pivot bushing.

Yep, check the bearing carrier. When was the last time you greased her up?

mine did that when i would grab my rear grab bar and pull left and right i could hear it so i put my finger down on the swingarm bushing and had my kid push it side to side and sure enough it was the swingarm bushings, so I ordered new ones for 57.00 and when i got them thought i would just double check the torque on the swingarm bolt befor I took it apart and found out the nuts were loose, i tightened them to 74 ft lbs backed off 1/4 turn then torqued the outer one to 74 ft lbs with blue locktight, I never even needed the new bushings, the bolt was just loose, i greased it when it was loose too turning while i was filling with grease to make sure I got it all over the bolt, at least now i have an extra set of bushings if I will ever need them lol, let us know what it turns out to be JMann2380
