Default Outlander 800 V-twin, Made cover of DW

The July Issue of DW has a sneak peak story on the 2006 Outlander 800 v-twin along with a few pics. Looks like the 800 V-twin rummor is comming true.

better yet how's this, a true 800CC big bore v-twin. This big beast packs a 62HP, 52lbs torque monster twin cylinder Rotax engine, by far the most powerful ATV on the market.

If you're looking to translate that to pure speed, BRP claims the Outlander 800 has 28% more rear wheel speed (as measured by Matech Technologie Inc rear wheel dyno) than the Polaris, 25% more than the BruteForce, and 54% more than the King Quad. Any volunteers for some serious drag runs?

I like the sound of those numbers, that should spice some things up in this years shootouts.

It looks like we could have a new top dog.

By doing the math in my head and at 62HP and a little over 600lbs this thing will be close at putting the hurt on a DS. With mods, this thing WILL put the hurt on the DS.
Hmmmmmmmm, kind of like a 4 cyl. turbo WRX putting the hurt on a Corvette. Wow, this could get interesting!!!!!!
IF BRP did it's homework they should have made the jugs about a 1/2" thick. See where I'm going with this..................

I'm not meaning to start a bash war here. BUT power isn't everything...checkout the picture where the Outty is climbing over the block. What is that thing,,,maybe 6 or 7 inches high. Check out the other wheel.
