What picture of the Outy climbing over the block? All I saw was the Kodiak.

Look a little closer. That whole platform is rollers. It's showing you the four wheel drive system, not that it can go over the block. Other ATVs wouldn't climb that block. They would let the free wheel spin. Showing you why the visco lok is pretty badass.

exactly, I like that test it kinda proves what a locker or visc locker can do. I kinda like the fact that the BRP does the locking for you. I can see where that might come in handy in the real world. I have hit spots out on the trail that didn't look as bad as it was and even though the Praires is lever controlled locker, I somes times don't react fast enough and loose momentum and that can cause a problem.

How does the 4x4 in the Outty compare to Polaris'. I like how Polaris has it setup, although it does affect the ability for engine braking.

I think it was Canadian Viking over in ATV Frontier that I seen do it first. I checked it out and he was just outside of Calgary. I thought it was kinda neat so I adopted the idea. Its kinda fun seeing where people are at.

I will let you know in a few months Krank. I want some seat time on both befor posting an opinion, I don't see any problems with the BRP so doubt the 4x4 system is going to make the difference in which one I like better, I tend to judge a quad more on performance, handeling, and overall quality.

Krank, if you got both machines in a spot where 4wd was gonna be totally necessary, or in a spot where you didn't know if you'd make it or not. You'd want the Visco Lok over the Polaris 4wd any day of the week. It's seriously that much better. Plus you don't have to worry about the hard steering in 4wd. You can turn the Bomb's one-handed all day long in 4wd. Plus, would you rather have a true 800 or a polaris 760. Polaris is 40cc's off so i don't understand why they even call it an 800

Hi guys,

I'm sure the new Bomb is going to be a great machine, but I have a problem with the % numbers that were posted in the write up.

28% more than the brute, so it's going to go over 90 MPH. that would be 10/12 mph faster than the DS in stock form. I have a hard time believing that Bomb would make a ute faster than there sports bikes.

I look at those #'s as meaning at a certain RPM on the dyno, they were getting those %. ie @ 4,000 rpm it was doing 52 mph and the brute was only doing 40. this would mean it is gear higher.

I still think this will be a great bike, just have a problem of Bomb make a 90/100 mph bike in stock form, when up until this, all makers had an unwritten agreement to stay around the 75 mark.

Just my $.02

I was thinking that with dyno % posted that in the real world that would put the top speed around 77 mph. I know on some of our std bore kawi's they will run out the clutch to 71 mph on the dyno but in the real world they only run mid to low 60s. My BB800 I have has the power to run the clutch out to 71 in the real world as well. I am not sure that makes any sence here but I am guessing the BRP 800 will run real world top speeds in the upper 70's maybe even hit 80.
