Question Bout' Pred
#1
K I am currently running a k&n and a PP slip on with 8 discs, and jetted at 155. I am hearing that it is a noticeable gain to take out all the plates and end cap.
Wuts everyones opinion on this?

I was running the turn down tip, and loved it. You can get them off of Doug Nicholas. This way you will still have some back pressure. I would also get the twin air clamp on, the trottle response is unreal.

I agree with RAJ.
I was running the plates with PP bolt on, jetted at 155, K&N drop in, 03TLD, CDI. I tried straight out exhaust, no plates. I liked some back pressure better. Then I got the turn down tip from Nicholas and I like it best. The Pred likes a little back pressure. It also likes to be jetted fat, but I tried the 160 main jet with that set up and it blubbered on top end, just too fat. Had to go back to 155.
Now I have the Rath header on, with the Rath air intake, and I will jet up to either the 165 or 160, depending on top end performance.
