finaly got the first bad one out of the way

Well boys and girls, it is a bittersweet time for me... I finally got my first bad crash out of the way. I was heading up a fairly steep hill with a false top (meaning I thought it topped out but actually kept going). When I reached what I thought was the crest it turned to the left and kept going. Problem was that if you didnt know it turned to the left you missed the trail and hit a side hill. Unfortunately i was going a bit fast (I know I know) and missed the turn. My AC 2004 400i hit the side hill and the front tires slid a bit. i couldnt get her back into vertical because it was loose dirt and had no grip to steer. Before i could bail uphill it tipped downhill and threw me. I hit the ground about a second and a half (probably less) before it came down on top of me. As I was down hill it got some speed in the roll and squashed me pretty good before rolling the hill. I wasnt in much of a position to count the rolls, but my riding buddy said it rolled three times after it hit me, so I guess 4 total. Ive heard stories and now I can agree that that 1.5 seconds was about the longest of my life as i thought about how much I was about to be hurt. I can say that my guardian Angel was on duty because it was the seat the came down in the center of my back. I had a box on the back rack, so the box hit on one side of me and the handle bars on the other. I couldnt have been any more lucky! I couldnt have taken more than about half of the weight, and the fact that it was the seat saved my life (at least save my ribs and spine).
The machine landed upside down and stayed that way for about 10 minutes while I checked myself out and my buddy got to me, and thyen surveyed the damage. We rolled it over on its wheels, and would you believe that it was prefectly fine? I broke the bead of the two downhill tires, and that was it. We tipped it back over and it fired instantly. No broken plastic, (contrary to the rumors about weak plastic) nothing. Fixed the tires tonight, and it good as new.
Ive got some bruised ribs, and a shoulder that feels like it took a baseball bat, but Im counting my blessings. So for those of you that get a bit cocky like me...remember it only takes an instant for crap to go down hill (literaly). So much for a slow sunday afternoon put put ride.
Take care, be safe and don't **** off your gardian angels!

The durabull is a chinese knockoff 50cc quad I bought on ebay for my girls, who are 6 and 9... compared to the "name brands" it was short money and I have no complaints or regrets. If that holds another year I'll have gotten my money out of it for sure-
They are for sale on ebay regularly, and generally go for about 650+shipping.
