Well, I've got 27's on my 750, and to be honest I'm thinking I should have went with 28's
If your worried about "not enough power" get a dynatec cdi or a similar product. The performance increase on just this click in product is freakin amazing.
Abit of reclutching if you feel the need also. Just get a light 27 incher.

Hope that almost helps you out.

i have 27" bearclaws, there is no problem with clearance, i went with 10" wide ones all the way around to be sure. they don't rob that much power, it still feels like stock except it steers a bit harder with the extra weight and still has the same top end speed.

I have 27" dirt devels, they really help with the ground clearence and big mud, but unless you plan some mods like a CDI they will rob a lot of horsepower.
