Default 2005 Xtreme X70 Pro with Reverse. 70cc Kids ATV

I'm a newbie to the forum, but have been riding 3-wheeler and 4-wheelers since I was 8 yrs old. I currently have a Honda Foreman 450 ES (the wife didn't want to shift) and it is used daily for trails, mowing the yard, and snow removal. My wife and I have been thinking about purchasing a first ATV for my soon to be 6 yr old and aren't sure where to go yet.

We started looking last year and found the Kazuma 50cc, which one of our friends purchased and it seems ok at first glance and was able to cruise around our acreage without too many issues. We got to looking more and found this one with reverse (I"m a little scared by the small size of the 50 cc and the fact that he'll grow out of it too soon), so I thought I'd try to see if anyone has any feedback on these? I've looked around quite a bit and haven't found anything yet, but based on some of the other posts, this seems to be the right spot to get the goods.

Thanks in advance.

hi atv iowa ill give you my 2 cents worth here i have a 6 year old boy and i started him out on a 50cc and before the summer was half way through he already needed more so i put him on a extreme atv 90cc. some here would say that a 6year old would not be ready for this big of a atv and i would agree if there not expierenced and not have good super vison. also they have these little bikes detuned so much from the factory and you can limit them even more i wouldnt be to scared. i think if your child has very little expierence i would go with a 70cc and i think the extreme's are a very good little machine.

Ok ... so I've been looking more and more and there are all kinds of brand names on these youth machines, but they all look about identical when you get down to the nuts and bolts of it. I started looking at various sites and have come across a dealer within 30 minutes of my place that carries
  • ETON
  • XTREME
  • UNISON
  • LRX
  • KYMCO
  • TRANSNATIONAL
  • HYOSUNG
  • TGB

Of those, I think I'm most interested in the ETON and XTREME units. Does anyone have any experience with Anything ATV in Indianola, IA?

What irritates me is!
Those 6-packs work pretty good.

I would get the Eton (rear hydraulic disk versus drum).

I 2nd what Raptorlegs said. The Eton is a solid, quality unit and the 70 should be a good fit for your son.

I would go with the LRX its the same as a kasea and in my eyes any SMC bike is got better quality welds. However most of the bikes have the same motor just slightly diff brakes and carbs. The Kymco 90 4 stroke is a very nice bike from what ive seen.
