None until you pump thm up about ten times. The pads are still good and the reservoir appears full. Anybody had this happen?

 

Did you bleed the lines of all air????

 

Happens all the time on my Foreman. You been playing in the mud and water havent you? Its no big deal but a little aggravating. Every time I spend time in the deep mud holes or water, the same thing happens. The front shoes are wet and muddy. Pull the drums and clean them good, preferably with spray brake clean, or even purple power. Dry them and then adjust them. Adjust both shoes one at a time till you feel drag and then back them off a notch or two. then do the other the same way and your brakes will be good as new again. I have had to go through this procedure about a half dozen times in the last 6 months or so. The shoes look great, but you have to clean and adjust them each time to solve the problem. Good luck. This is why I would love to have the disc brakes on mine...maybe one of these days!

 

Are you guys putting grease on the rubber seals on the brake drums? If I keep upt the maintainace I don't any problems, always have brakes in or out of water.

 

I have tried grease on the seal that meets the backing plate and still got water back in. I have had better luck with it dry actually. The last time I went in and cleaned them, I put a lilttle rubber silicone around the seal at the lug studs and it stayed drier longer than anytime before. The seals look great but apparantly have some wear on them.
