on the fmf megamax whats louder 20 discs or no discs?

no discs b/c i have one!! the less discs you have the more top end the more the more bottom end!

 

wow...with the disc type silencer you add discs to increase flow (and hp). think about it. if u take discs out u take away room for exhaust gas to escape. unless u are talkin about not using the back solid plate. as far as makin it louder the more discs u have in place the louder it should be. again unless u arent going to use the back plate.

 

more discs= more power and louder less discs= less power and quiter

 

no thats not true the more discs you have the more tourqe you have and the more quieter it is and if you have no discs on it then thats the loudest and then the more topend you have i have the pipe i know!!

 

not really cause if u have less discs less quite cause not as much air gets out and wen more discs more air comesout then more louder

 

im talking NO discs at all theres a 2 or 21/2 inhole there its louder i just took mine off to drag my uncle and i put them on 2 mx race but i only use 10

 

if u take discs out there should be less of a gap. if there are spacers between the plates u are suposed to take those out too! This is not acceptable for many riding areas. With the disc type system you can simply remove discs to get to the range you need. At 6 discs you would be in the 93dB range. You will lose some HP as you cut the noise." this is a direct quote from CT Racing. their pipe uses the same silencer as the FMF. this fast250x guy doesnt know what hes doin. when u remove discs there should still be the same gap between each disc, and the endcap would get closer to the end of the muffler. how he is running the system it is louder with less discs but that is simply because he doesnt know what hes doing. sorry about the short book but i didnt want anyone to me misinformed.
