I have a 1990 Fourtrax 300 that seems to have a defective pulse generator. It looks easy enough to put it in after you pull off the left side of the engine, but. . . How do you get the drive shaft out of the way that feeds the front wheel drive? I have removed the cover, taken loose the circlips and even unbolted the front bearing assembly from the engine but I still don’t know the trick of getting that shaft out of the way so I can pull off the left engine cover. I feel like I am being shafted! Any tips would help.

i just parted out a 4x4 300 and couldnt figure out how to get the engine out what you nee to do is loosen the front differential there a singal little mount on the front take that off the loosen the nuns and bolts and take them off the pull on the diff it should pull forward enough to pull the front propellor shaft off the transfer case ian
