newbie changing front brake pads 325magnum
#1
I just bought a 2000 325 magnum I am replacing the front inner hub seal because
I noticed it leaking on the inside of the rim. When I removed the caliper I noticed there
was no lining left on the pads. I am not sure how to remove the pads from the caliper.
Do you use punch to drive the pins out?? I have changed many auto brake pads, but I
am not sure about this one. Any info would be appreciated.

check out the last couple of posts in this thread. use a c-clamp to push the piston into the caliper.

I just did it this weekend. Push the caliper piston in with a C-clamp until it bottoms. There is a plate with rods on both sides. One side goes into the caliper (enclosed with the rubber boots) the other end has the pads on them. On the back of the caliper there is a hex set screw. This need to be removed to allow the pins on one side of the plate to hit bottom. There is only a set screw on one side. Once you have is out the rest is easy. Any question, email me.
