Default K&N power lid jetting question

In the instructions k & n recomends 155 left and 175 right for jets and needle on 5th clip and mixture screw out 2 turns for elevations below 3000ft. Now i always thought jetting went in steps of 5 after 150 never a 20 difference between carbs. The jets the provide are miniki not dj. Does this sound right to anyone or has anyone done this exactly the way the instructions say and it worked ok. I have done this before and never heard of this, any help would be great.

Thanks

Default K&N power lid jetting question

Yes that is exactly what I read as well and I just don't get that. I wouldn't listen to what they say. I messed around with mine and never did get it running right. I was told by someone on here that if your missing one part of the equation that you shouldn't bother ( the equation- air+fuel+exhaust=power). I am not sure if you have a pipe but before I got mine I just couldn't seem to get mine to run perfect, I ended up putting my powerlid in the box and waiting for my pipe. I will tell you what I was told anyway by a yamaha mechanic go up 1 jet for every mod, I never did try it. So that would probably be 145-150. Well Good Luck!
