Default new project(blaster)

I just bought a blaster. It definitely needs some work.I like project bikes.Anyways.I want it to stay rideable, but my wife is talking about getting into drag racing.I guess she wants to see if it's as fun as I say it is.I want it to run with or beat most other blasters.Any suggestions?I plan on rebuilding it.I'll be using a wiseco piston. Also plan to get it ported(not sure by who yet).I know an aftermarket pipe will help, but not sure on which pipe yet. Most likely a CPI.Yes to a bigger carb, but not sure how big.So many questions.Do any of you have any answers?

wel you can go with a big bore kit on them you can go stroker but they have had some reliability issues. ususally big bores require you to re sleeve it . but you will get some uber power out of it. thats about all i can help you with

Depending on how far you want to go, here's what we've done with ours. Stock bore, wiseco piston, ported & head mod by Eric Gorr at Forward Motion (very nice work and very reasonable) about 160or 165 PSI compression, FMF pipe, Uni filter, and 30mm flatslide carb from Trenga w/oil injection block off kit. Absolutely kills other Blasters which are just piped & jetted. The stock 26 mm carb is a real choke-off point for the Blaster. Now ours is about as fast as it'll be without going to high compression and race gas, or a big bore setup. But for the money spent ours runs very well. Also if I did it again today I'd get the LRD or Trenga pipe, which exits differently kinda like a Banshee pipe out to one side, keeps the heat away from the head which you need to get rid of engine heat.
