Bent frame or A-arms?
#1
Well, i had a little accident last night...well, maybe not so little. But anyways, the quad flipped end over end atleast twice in mid air, then slammed into the ground which in turn, popped the bead on my front right tire, popped the spark plug cap off, smashed my little stock front bumper, and either bent the right a-arm (when your sitting on the quad) or the frame, and all this happened beasue the back end kicked up from going over a huge indent in the trail. i beleive that its the lower right a-arm, becasue the right wheel is now at an angle like this / (also when your sitting on the quad, but not that much of an angle). and the wheels are also uneven when you look at them from the side, like the front right a-arms are moved back a little bit. My dad on the other hand, beleives that i bent the frame and my a-arms a little bit. I think that the a-arms would bend waay before my frame did, but i just want to know your opinions on what is bent. Thanks

Well I have two bent raptor frames. The first one bent making the wheels offset, when measuring from the foot pegs one wheel was further ahead of the other. Best way to tell is, with the full engine skid plate. If the front frame clamp doesnt line up properly then more than likely the frame is bent. You also might want to check the ball joints and the spindles to make sure they are not bent. I also bent a lower ball joint when the frame got bent.

When I rolled mine off Delbarton it bent the a-arms and the frame where the lower a-arms connect. May want to give it a good look there. Once you get the plastics and a-arms out of the way you should be able to tell where the bend is at. Also look for cracks in the paint its a good way to tell where the bends are at.
Good luck.

Good luck.

yeah...thanks for all the replys, right now i havn't looked at it to much though. It still drives alright, except the front brakes are messed up pretty bad, you pull them and it pulls to the left, or the left tire locks up and the right doesn't. We took the tired off and looked at the brakes, bled them again. When you pull them, you can here clicking in their. I didn't look at it to closely though, its just been sitting there in the garage for the past couple of days. Ive been busy working on a 197? suzuki bike. Just to get away from the fourwheeler for a while. I think ill take a better look at it tonight, with the plastic off and ill get the ol` tapemeasure out and start measuring. Thanks for all your help

depends on how bad its bent, if its bent a little bit, you mihg tbe able to straighten it. But if its bet pretty bad, you can probably fix it but its probably reccomended to get a new, but its up to
