When it is running I hear a slight tap coming from the engine. Can anyone tell me what this could possibly be. It's driving me nuts knowing that it's a brand new quad and all. And also can someone tell me where I can get a billet master cylinder cap. I already rolled my quad, after owning it only two weeks, and the plastic cap is letting brake fluid get out.

 

Mine was makin alot of noice had to get the crank bearings replaced mines a 1990 though yours is brand new so yea I dunno can't be bad already.

 

well i took the clutch cover off and i shook the crank around back and forth and i can here a little tapping noise i'm just wondering if its the wrist pin to piston clearance. Its maybe got around 1/32 of play or less.

 

If it's under warrany take it in they will have to fix it.

 

well i already rolled it and if they see those scratches on the fenders and stuff do ypu think it won't be covered.

 

Good point it's worth a shot though I"m sure a mechanic would at least listen to it run and maybe offer suggestions.

 

see i am a mechanic but i am automotive mechanic and i didnt kno too much about 2 strokes until i started reading up on them but i'm learning. i gues i'll give it a shot.
