Default Warrior burning 10w30 Yamalube

My wifes Warrior is burning off the 10w30 Yamalube the dealer insisted I put in there for the summer.

Has anyone run 20w50 in their Warrior? I'm thinking a thicker oil won't burn off as quick if at all. It has been hot and she does like to rev the crap out of the thing, and I'm not sure how good Yamalube really it compared to a full synthetic. I've been running Amsoil 10w40 in my KFX and not a drop has burned off.

10w30 is WAY to thin for summer.. i run 30w30 for summer and it works just fine...

You could put an oil cooler in there to cool it down a bit...

2 1/2 is aobut right.. this isn't a car where u can dump 5w40 into it for summer driving. this is smaller engien that pumps more RPMS faster and generates ALOT more heat which makes the oil really thin. 30w30 is pretty good for it.. and make sure that it isn't a synthetic oil you are using..

ive found that no matter when i drive my warrior, it always burns almost a quart of oil in 500 miles.

i just run quaker state 10w30 and it works good for it.
