Default Is it possible to convert a Honda Recon ES to a foot shift?

I'm wanting to know if it is possible to convert my 2004 Honda Recon ES (electric shift) to a standard foot shift? Mine is a bike with low hours and already having problems! This is a great machine except for the electric shift.

Its posible but the cost is more than just trading it in on an s.
What kind of problems is it having?
Most people are very happy with theirs, and they are usually very troublefree quads.

Your friend is a pure ignorant idiot. If ANYBODY reads the manual it will tell you to NEVER use it while it’s moving and its only used for emergencies to get you into a forward gear to get you home when the electric doesn’t work. Don’t even argue with me because that would be arguing with the manual and they are the engineers that spent many years on developing this machine. If they say not to there has to be a reason and a damn good one at that. If your friend thinks he’s smarter than the engineers at Honda let it be but I am telling him now it can’t be good for the quad.
