K&N filter messing with idle
#1
I did a search and couldn't find anything on this. My search criteria may be off though.
I installed a K&N filter into the stock airbox on my Predator and now she wants to shut off at idle. Once warm, it shuts off less. Other than that, I can tell that the throttle response is better and the butt dyno seems to pick up a little more power.
Should I need to adjust the carb just because of a filter change? I would have never thought it would make that big of a difference.
Any help is appreciated.

Lets face it, we buy those things, because there is a difference.
The kn will flow alot better, so the mixture is probably leaner. If the idle is the only problem, then make the idle circuit richer, by turning the mixture screw ccw.
A warm motor, will tolerate a lean mixture better than a cold motor will, thats why its worse when cold.
