Default EBS on a Scrambler 500

Anybody put engine breaking on 500? Wife rides one but is not strong enough to hold on to the front brake on some of the long hills we go down. and of course you all know how great the back brakes on polaris's work. Mine got so hot he other day I lost everything and had to bail.

I don't know how hard it would be to add it but I would imagine it can be done since newer models have the option for EBS.

To install EBS you will need to buy 2 new clutches and a new belt. I would order the basic Sportsman 800 EFI drive clutch and put the same srping/weight setup in it. For the driven I would probably order the driven for a newer 500HO and start with the helix & spring that the 500 Sportsman has. The belt you want is an 32110095 I belive.

They offer a kit but it has the older style drive clutch. The 800 style drive will improve holeshot.

I had an 04.5 Sportsman 500HO with EBS (standard). It worked good enough that I didn't hardly have to use the breaks.

Are late model EBS equipped Scramblers marked with an EBS sticker like the Sportsmans? I think my '04 Scrammy has EBS, or at least feels like it, but there is no EBS label.

Scramblers never came with EBS at least not from the factory.

I respectfully disagree. Or at least the Polaris website lists that EBS is an option for the '05 model and was also for the '04's. My '04 Scrammy sure feels like it does, the motor slows it down about as fast as my '02 700 SP does slows itself down.
