When did roller clutches become standard on Magnum 500's????
#1
I ordered a secondary spring from Rick Ritter this week for my Magnum 500. He sent me a lavender one to try.
I got a surprise when I went into the Driven clutch assembly. It is a ROLLER clutch and a big one at that. Much beefier than any aftermarket setup I have ever seen. Anyone else run into this? How long have they been standard on the Magnum? I thought I was up on all this stuff but this surprised me.
Needless to say I've got to send Rick the spring back because the spring in the roller is diffrent than the button style clutch. Hopefully he has access to the springs for the roller setup.

i thought that a roller clutch and EBS were different things. i would think the sportsman would have the same clutches as the magnum. according to jack shultz the roller is much better than stock???hummm wonder if he found out the same thing as kagey? i think most of the people that have put roller clutches on a polaris were on scramblers rather that utilitys. and scramblers dont have EBS.
