Default Smaller vs Larger Bikes

Here is an interesting idea that I would like to get other's opinions on. I know that the saying "bigger is better" and I agree with a lot of things. But my problem is that I can take my Wolverine places bigger quads can't go. I grew up in a time (right after the three-wheeler ban) and can remember that a 250cc bike was KING! I thought of this after reading about the thread about the possible 800cc Griz. How much power is going to be enough? I wish my Wolverine went faster but, really, it's fast enough. I know that people may argue that a Griz can go everywhere that my Wolverine may go, but I say just not as easy.

So when do we say "big enough?" Not to mention that some of these bikes are bigger than small truck almost.
