the 800 has more power, so it can pull more....it can also go through more mud because it has the power to clean the tires out better...get them spinning faster. I know our 700 has PLENTY of power...but always room for more

get the new outlander 800. to many issues with polaris right now. boots, belts, melting plastic, bearings. the list goes on and on. and all this stuff is happening on 05 models with less than 500 miles on them. thats a lot to think about when it comes to spending 8 grand or better. good luck whatever you decide to buy.

The outlander 800 would be nice to have, but it is the first year so there is no telling what problems they will have with it. The Outlanders are cheap at all themselves!

polaris has undoubtably fixed the issues with the 800 for 06, so i would suggest seeing what the 06 line has over the 05's and if you dont care, im sure you can get a hell of a deal on an 05

The 800 stomps the 7 if you ride hard and want to lift the front over whoops with a throttle blip. Pol. of Chatt. sells the 800 for 7180.00 if your determined to buy one. I'd look into the Bomb. sounds like leaving a fat chick for a supermodel.(power to weight ratio) My 800 has had a lot of problems. Polaris does not stand behind their product. My 2c

The 700 has enough power to tackle anything you want, traction would be the issue. The tires will always be able to spin , even in the deepest thickest mud.

The 800 does have the exrta accelleration.
