Hey everyone,
I finally got a chance to really test out my 05 Sportsman. I have couple questions: At what rpms does the tranny engage into high and low range. Also, at what speed does the engine redline (hit the rev limiter).
(I'm trying to figure out how hard I actually beat on this young motor.)

Ok, so I found this winch made by mile marker (PE2500). My question is: Will it work with this mount that I found on ebay.

I don't know what rpms it engages at or about the winch, but I am almost positive the rev limiter kicks in at 6200rpm. Good luck with your ride.

 

I think the max rpm is at 6500

 

If i recall correctly i think the tranny engages at about 1400Rpms in high... feel free to correct me if im wrong

Thanks guys, I guess I was a little hard on the machine.

 

I have seen 6300 rpm on mine and i haven't hit the rev limiter. I am pretty impressed with the 700 so far!!!

 

out first 100 miles, we had it in the water, through the mud, pulling stuff in a trailer, opend her up wide open, hit top speed, up hills...we tore two cv boots and also messed up the tranny....the way we looked at it, it was still under warrenty...ohh we also used it to pull the trailblazer out of the mud once or twice too

 

My 05 sp 400s max is at 6700 rpm but my sp 500 will max at 6500 rpm.
