polaris press release that they are buying 24% of ktm and going to be in a partnership with ktm.ktm also said they will have a race quad in 2007

I was reading around and came up with this,

KTM wants to enter the ATV market in 07, they wanted a company that is known for building good ATVs (they went with polaris) They also didn't want it to be a Jap company, hence polaris they also wanted a company that had strong hold in dealers in North America hence polaris.

2007 should be a good year for ATVs with these two companies working together.

The way I see it, KTM is going to use the Polaris capital and push there production and research way up...I simply can't see them opting to let Polaris aquire them after the first few years


If Polaris is lucky the quality may rub off and they might be able to produce a real race quad/bike

 

I think this is great news, even though i'm getting out of the ATV business. I will always say Polaris is one of the best out there. That would be sweet to see a KTM dirt bike with a Predator engine on it. That would be one bad A$$ dirt bike.
