Default Polaris Motor Configuration (NOOB question)

I know the polaris twins are parallel so that wouldn't make it a v-twin. Is the twin an I-2 even though the engine is not alligned from the front to the back its side to side. So what would you call the motor then?

It would still be considered an I-2 since the cylinders are inline.
