250 tb bogging in water?

i was riden my 250 today and me and my buddy on his 660 were cruzin and we desided to hit up these creeks, i was just puttin then pinned it and hit the water and it almost quit and it startted spuddering then took off again. but even without much speed in teh watter it does this. neone no y?
o ya and i dragged that raptor and i was a lenth ahead untill he was at the top of third geer, pritty impressive for a lil 250

ya its a 2 stroke and a farely quik one at that. for a 250 that is, i alsao raced my uncles scrambler 400 4x4 s2 stroke and beet it not buy much half a lenth or so but a win is a win. he doesnt want his scrambler nemore lol

Your problem is probably steam entering the air intake. Happened to my friends TB the other day.
When you hit the water, it hits the hot engine, turns into steam, then gets sucked into the engine, leaving the airbox dry so you can't see what it is. Some people drill holes in the plastic around the gas cap to let the steam rise out, but I don't know if that will work; I don't have a TB.
