My Scambler will live again

Well it's been quite awhile since I last posted anything on this forum but I had some trouble with my Scrambler 500. One day after riding around and parking the bike in the shed, I had noticed a small pool of transmission oil on the floor. In a few minutes it was all my transmission oil. After close inspection with a flash light I had discovered that there was a crack that came from the triple seal (output shaft) right down to the case half joint. Anyhow to make a long story short, I have just received my case half and seals. Last night I managed to get the thing back together and the transmission is now back in the bike. There is still about another three hours of labor but should be done today. This has been a job and a half.

ya man,

i have rebuilt my tranny too. its harder to get it out of the damn machine than it is to rebuild the tranny.

good luck and take you time and keep track of all your bolts!
