Default Gas prices keeping you off your atv?

i just wanted to ask you guys if you find yourself driving your atv less now that the gas prices are higher then ever. last year at this time i had roughly 1200 miles on my atv this year so far i have put roughly 200 miles on in the last month i don't think i put over 15 miles on and it was all work or maybe just getting the mail. the fact of the matter is i can't afford to ride it much anymore and it kinda sux.

Yeah the gas prices are ridiculous and I haven't ridden quite as much as I would have, but my KQ is pretty good on gas.

No it's not going to stop me. I live on a farm and between all the Gas and fuel we use in the tractors and trucks, a single cylinder engine isn't going to make much differance. I doesn't matter if gas is $10.00 a gallon. Were still going to use the same amount and I'll still be feeding my SUV (unless we start farming with horses), and were still going to complain about it.

As fuel effiecent as my quads are, they are much cheaper to run than any of my other gas powered toys, including my 24hp lawn mower. So no not at all and I am on a fixed income. Even when Ii have to tow the quads with my F250 with a 460 V-8 with a carburator I still go.

Nope, gas prices will have to go much higher for that to happen.

it was just a curious question it is just all work on my atv now and no play anymore. when my atv was stock i put on exactly 40 miles and it took 2.1 gallons of gas to fill it so roughly 20 then after the mods and stuff i am probably pulling about 18 which is very very good for a bigger atv. but that was leisure driving not much over 45 mph on harder packed roads.

man i was asking my buddy a couple of weekends ago how much he spent to come out and ride because i spent like $60.00 at the local store. he told me he spent $50.00. this is crazy. i remember when i could go for probably $10.00. me and fuel and pop. now i got more family to get out there and show the ropes to. so to answer your question. no gas prices stink but long live the memories.

Not me.
6 of us just got back from a great trip to the Colorado Rockies.
I did notice more ATVs in Lake City,CO this trip than ever before & the best news was, the Jeep'ers were few.
