here's what the tech at the honda service center just told me when i asked about any recalls concering the 00' rancher. phone # 310-532-9811.
he said and i quote,"i don't know of any recalls concerning the 00" rancher at this time". i asked about the a-arm problem and he didn't know anything about it. i told him about the problem with my electronic shift( not working) and i told him about the problem with electrical pins not mating up just right on connectors that can cause a problem. he said he knew of nothing that related the the rancher. so his advice to me was to bring my quad to the dealer, let them find the problem, and if it was a major malfunction then ask for goodwill asssistance from the district manager. i told this guy about these problems and how i saw them here on this forum and he said you can't belive everything you read. i don't know what to think, i find it hard to belive that this forum is making up all these problems and posting them for the fun of it. so off to the dealer i go and wait and see how bad my *** is going to hurt. later- dana

 

I too had trouble finding about the recall. But when I got an actual print out from the dealer from their internal Honda software, I now beleive it exists. Sad to see that the Honda folks on the phone are ignorant too.
