trouble with foreman 450es
#1
I have just purchased a 2001 foreman 450es today and it's my first! I noticed oil from the rear of the machine, after looking I found that a hose from the bottom of the carb. to the engine beside the pull cord was off of the engine. Can anyone tell me what this is and what the cost might be. The hose has a clip holding on to a black (broken)piece of plastic, there is a hole were it looks like it connects to.Is this molded on the engine plate or pressed with o-ring or something?

i dont know for sure, but maybe this is the breather pipe, it runs from the engine to the airbox? i dont know how it connects on either end, but i dont think it would cost too much. It just routes crankcase fumes to the airbox where they can be re-burned. sometimes a little oil comes with the fumes, so there is a little filter-type thing in the end of the tube by the airbox to keep too much oil from going into the airbox.
