Default trailboss bogging out

my 1996 polaris trail boss boggs when you first take off from a stop. i just installed a new plug today which helped a little but not enough. i think maybe fuel filter? if this is it are they somewhat easy to install. any other ideas of what could be the problem??? thanks, Kenny

Air filter? Take it around the block without and see how it runs.

i put a lightweight foam cover over the top of the scoop. not a good idea. it sucked it down around the airfilter which resulted in extreme loss of power and bogging. i figured it was something major but it wasnt thankfully. anyway thanks for giving me the airfilter idea. now it runs like a charm. thanks guys.
