dose any buddy know the valve clearence to the piston for a dvx 400 or know how much u can shave of the top of the jug? am just looking to shave the jug and port and polish the head... thanks brandon[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

Brandon, are you looking to do this yourself? Alot of shops/companies will not give out info like this becuase thye do the homework and development on it to see what works and that is how they stay in business you can through alot of parts if somthing is not done right an d it can be very expensive as well. What do you have done to your dvx already?

 

Most people don't shave the heads on four-strokes. A better alternative to bump the compression of your Z-400 based motor is installing a DRZ-400 base gasket. This will move the head and cylinder down a small amount essentially raising the compression ratio.
