Hello folks:
took apart the rear clutch one with brake type shoes in it ...well its has grooves/scratch/scored,in the surface from junk ...so put it in the lathe (4 jaw chuck).. the dial indcator showed the dia ..inside and outside dia to be egg shape out of round ..was going to turn the id to get rid of thr grooves ...in the id where the shoes contact ...out by .050 thousands ...thinking i am still going to tun it to make it round again id only ...has anyone ben here with this ??what just replace it ..or..turn it run it till it does not grab ....

 

You can try to fix it. If it effects performance then simply replace it. .050 may be alot.
