difference in 2001 500 srambler & 2002 500 ho srambler

how much of a difference is there in a 500 and a 500 ho. i need to know because im getting ready to buy one and i know where both are. 2001 polaris scrambler 500 4x4 $3000 like new lots of extras and a 2002 500 HO 4x4 $3700 stock but like new 20 hrs max. ho IS THE THING JUST HOW MUCH OF A DIFFERENCE IS THERE OR IS IT JUST A STICKER?

All 500 Scramblers after 1997 were 500HO.I would go with the 02 because they upgraded a few thing from 00 to 02 like the starter switch,brided brake lines,bigger steering post with better lower bushing.

I READ SOMEWHERE THAT THEY ARE BOTH 500 HO ITS JUST THAT ON 2002 INSTEAD OF JUST SAYING 500 IT SAYS 500 HO ON THE STICKER. ANY WAY IS THIS A GOOD ALL AROUND MACHINE? FAST? IT HAS SOME MODS DONE TO IT ILL GO FIND THEM AND LIST THEM IN A MINUTE.

HERE ARE THE MODS DONE. 2001 Scrambler 500 4X4, Hot Seat Clutch Kit, K&N Filter, HPD Pipe/160 jet, new sprockets and chain, hand guards, front bumper, rear rack & bag, battery replaced this year

dude its simple, anything from like 99 or 97 and up will be quick, they should go about 65, thats quick. My 2000 has the HO. Just get what you like and what feels good to you. Not what the stickers say, they dont mean anything. I could put a sticker that sais supercharged on my quad but that doenst mean it is supercharged or it will go faster.

Sounds like good mods to me.I would find out exactly what is in the HSP clutch kit.The HPD has a brown primary spring,10-56 weights and a violet secondary.I am not sure but I think the HSP kit is real close but it may have thier Hypershift weights and a white secondary.As long as it runs good dont worry.
