I am going to replace the tires on my 2000 Grizzly. I want to put on mud type tires on that also work well on the trails. Hopefully there are other Grizzly owners out there that will share with me what you have tried, and what works and what you like best. Thanks!!

Grizzguy:
I can't help you with the Grizz part as I drive an AC, but I was looking for similar tires to what you are asking about. Something that works well in the mud, but also has good trail manners, and rides relatively smooth. I just received my 27" Bi Claw/Tri Claw combination today, and put a few muddy miles on them this evening. I posted a partial review in the AC forum, if you want to check it out, see what I thought. I won't be able to really see what they're capable of till elk season rolls around, as that will be a nasty muddy, snowing situation and will really give them a workout, but from today's outting, they are awesome! Might be worth a look for you as well.

Good luck,

Mike

I put the Titan 589's on my Griz and have been real happy with them. They have outstanding traction on both soft and hard surfaceses. The only thing that draws them back compared to some of the other tires is that they are not true to size. If you are looking for the added ground clearence then Cowboy is right about getting the Bi/Tri claws. Anyway, what ever you get they almost have to be better then the stock tires.

In your case I would recommend the 598s also. They are more of a trail tire than the Claws, yet still perform VERY well in the mud.

Harold:
'01Grizz could tell you for sure, he just got a set not too long ago. Don't quote me on it, but if I remember right, I think he said they were a little more than .5" shorter than advertised??? I think that was the only thing he didn't like about them. Hopefully he'll respond, and let us know for sure!

I have the 26" Super Swampers tsl's On my 2000 grizz. They handle great on the trail and work well in the mud. They are a stiffer tire then stock so I run a lower air presser. Tim
