Default Poalris 800 vs Brute force top end race, the results

Me and my chum decided to see who had the best top speed. his Brute force 750 or my Polaris 800

we used a gps for accuracy

Both bikes had 8 lbs air in the front tires and 10 lbs of air in the back.

the road was paved and the temp was 29 degrees Celsius and no wind

my chum weighs 200lbs and we used him as the test pilot for both bikes

Top speed for the Brute was 72.5 mph
Top speed for the 800 was 71.5mph

In a drag race I could not catch him as I weigh 320lbs and when we switch bikes the 800 wins. so they are fairly close but the Brute is faster

In terms of seat comfort, braking ability, handling and plushness of suspension over the rough stuff, we BOTH agreed the the Polaris was the better of the two bikes

How many miles are on your 800? It seemed that mine picked up 5-6 mph after it had 300 or so miles on it. I haven't used a GPS, but on hard smooth clay road I had my speedo to 73 and I weight 275.

Do you have any friends with KQ's? It would be interesting to see what the difference would be.

I do have a freind who has one but havent seen him for a while, but trust me I will hunt him down and we will race, he might be in hiding LOL. my 800 has 1100miles on it, and if your speedo says 73mph then you be going that fast because my speedo is bang on with my gps. the brute force is also bang on with their speedo and the gps.

People say they've gotten the KQ's speedo to 72mph, so it would be interesting to compare all three of them with the same GPS.

The sp800 would be much quicker getting there though.
They have had many shootouts between the two and its always said that the 800 is faster,
it even beats the BF off the line to 20 and 30 MPH in mag testing.

Yeah, I know they both are faster in acceleration than the KQ, but I've heard that the KQ has a slightly higher topend.
