Hows it goin fellas?New here so need a lil info.

I just bought today a Honda 200s,not sure what year.Actually i bought 3 of them for 200bucks.Two of them are not running si i'll use them for parts and what not.So to the one thats runnin,it doesnt have a pull start so we pulled it with my friends 125 3 wheeler.Man this thing is awesome,the first 2 gears you cant give full throttle it comes up and i'm a heavy guy.It hasnt been run in a while so there was some smoke.and whay sounds like some valves rattling.
I'm gonna do a oil change and change the spark plug,but after that i'm a stumped on what else i should do as to get it back to running in top shape.Also this is my first ATV so i'm also wonderin what kind of performance parts i can add to it,and any website that would sell them.My friend was sayin bore the motor and bigger cam and piston.I'd apperciate any info i can get my hands on.Thanks.

 

Hey welcome to the forum, First i would like to say Congrats on 3 trikes for 200$ Not bad for your first bike too i also started on a 200 just it was a big red im 14 so i havent been riding for to long but about 3 or 4 years but i just started on a trike i rode 2 wheels before but you will like 3 wheeles just Watch out going down hills in a high gear cause thats how i fliped mine i cut a corner going down a hill and fliped it lol Fell in psn. ivy also...but for parts go to Www.denniskirk.com and go to off road part and go to the right side of the screen is Model/make/year i think is how it goes and then just put you info in and find parts your gona love trikes they are the best just never try to show off unless you know what your doing...peace out

 

congrats on the purchase..........There are a couple of places you can get parts for your trikes.......Give me the 10th vin # and I will tell you what year it is. And throw some links your way to parts. After you get the year...GET A BOOK!
If you want my honest 2 cents....get it running 100% correct before you EVER throw aftermarket stuff at it...you will save a ton of headaches!!!!!

Thanks for the reply,i finally checked the frame and its a '84.
Right now it runs and everything,but there are tons of smoke coming from the exhaust.Also when i go into 3-4-5 gears it seems like its slippin and then it finally catchs and gets into the gear.Any ideas?I was just gonna bring it to a shop around here and let them tear it down and rebuild it.But for now,i'm just havin fun ridin it.Again thanks for the replies.

 

you will be real suprized on what you will find with your local shops....Most will NOT work on the trikes at all......and the ones that will charge around $65 an hour.
