Vinson Auto ???
#1
I am looking at a new Vinson Auto. I'm still not a fan of the belt drive, but I have had a Rancher ES for the past 3 years so my left foot has gotten lazy. Do you have to run the Vinson in low range for hills, mud and slow trails like the Polaris ? Or can you just put it in Drive and go? I really would like an auto, but I don't want the hassle of a burnt belt.

I have an 03 Vinson auto and an 05 KQ. The Vinson in high range feels like the KQ does in low. I put 1500 miles on my Vinson and almost never used low....except for plowing and the really bad mud. Still no belt problems either.

I have two Vinsons and love them. I almost never need low range. When I hit something really steep then I will put it in Low, or heavy mud then it goes into Low. Other than that, high works fine for most riding. I am going to go with a King Quad in the near future though. I want the extra power, EFI and IRS, plus the dif lock. That is my only complaint on the Vinson is no front Dif lock.
