I have a suzuki lt 230s and my outside pilot jet fell out of the carburetor and i do not know what the setting is. Also my needle fell out of my throttle tube and i dont know which ring to set it at. No matter how many times i turn the jet i cant get my wheeler to stop backfiring and quitting on me.

 

mine does it too....but i need to jet for pipe...runs good sometimes and others it craps .....on my needle in 2 notches from bottom and idle screw is .......??half a turn!!!! sounds crazy but thats where it runs best

 

1986 OEM LT230S manual states:

pilot jet : 2 turns out and maybe 1/2 turn in or out for adjustment

needle setting: 3rd notch I am not sure but I think there are 5 notches so the 3rd would be in the middle. 3 from the top or 3 from the bottom
