My stock bore Alky motor would run 58mph with my 275lbs *** on it. With a 150lbs rider it would run 63mph. This is in Sand. And is the difference between a 5.2 and a 4.9

Thats what I was looking for ! So 300 ft @ 52 mph on a stock motor w/ a 44 lectron, slipon pipe and a 285 lb rider ain't too bad . 52 sounded slow to me , thats why I was looking for mph . I was getting 62 mph in 600 ft in 4th gear , now that sounds very slow ! why such a dramatic decrease in mph with a longer run ? weight issue ? all were taken in a hardpack very dusty farmfield .

52 mph is pretty dam good for the mods that you have and your weight. But at 600ft you should be alot closer to 70mph. When my motor was stock with a modded endcap and dyno-jet kit I woud run 72mph in the 1/8 mile(660ft.) sounds like your carb maybe on the Rich side which is way it is not puller hard in the top 2 gears.

bigger.
