My banshee was acting wierd.

I went up to the local ohv and had then banshee in the back of the truck so I went for a ride and noticed the exhuast was not comming out of the pipes equally. I just put T5s on, the are not leaking , just not puffing the same. Also, with the t5s and a drop in k&n do you think racing gas is overkill? That stuff is expensive, but smells great.

Did you rejet? How many hours do you have on the top end? Are you plugs ok? Theres quite a few factors in this... just do a standard 2-stroke check up... And yes Race gas is excessive 91-93 octane will do fine. You could even run 89, the compression is pretty low.

I did not rejet yet, I wanted to take her out to see which way I needed to go. The plugs are new, don't know about the top end time. I am planning to do some modest engine mods, so do you think I should have the top end rebuilt as well?

you might NEED to get a top-end since you didnt re-jet.. but you know that they each cylinder fires at different times, so both exhaust's pulse's wont be the same.... I would DEFFENATLY call up toomey and tell then your set-up and ask what jets they reccomend, then go from their. NEVER put pipes on a quad and intake and run it with out rejetting! no matter how long, you going to do damage.
