OK I'll give it a shot. I believe that model has the chain cover, usually just a few bolts holding that on. Once off you can see the chain and sprockets, just like on a motorcycle. The chain should also have a master link. Remove and replace. Some required a special sealed chain. I recall that on my old Suzuki ALT-185.

Good Luck,
Rob

If you can take a hack saw and cut a slot in the screw making a slot for a screwdriver to get a bite. Otherwise grind off the head and remove the stud later. The spacer is probably there to keep from pinching the guard together to tight.

I would suggest an owners manual/service manual. Or go to someplace like bikebandit.com or servicehonda.com and look at the exploded part views. This will give you a good idea of how things go together.

Good Luck,
Rob

Oaklanderkid............What ATC are you working on???? On the screws, you can use Valve grinding compound on the tip of the screwdriver; lightly tap the screwdriver into the crew with a hammer, and 90% of the time it will break loose. You can get the valve grinding compound for $1 at a parts store.
