Thank God! best waranty ever!

So here's what's happenned so far: (i've only had the LE for like... 2 months)
1) Plastic Heat Sheild melted to metal heat sheild. *REPLACED*
2) Quiet core came apart and beat the h3ll out of Pure Polaris Muffler *REPLACED*
3) LED Taillight ceised to function *REPLACED*
4) Gearbox siezes and EVERY GEAR IN IT HAD TO BE REPLACED *REPLACED*
and after i finally got it back from problem #4, the clutch seized up. (The bushing in the basket has severely deep scratches as does the basket, which made them get sooooo bound up that a half ton press couldn't seperate them)
Anyway, after a lot of complaining to Polaris and the Dealer, an entirely new case & internals was shipped overnight yesturday. They are replacing everything but the Jug, sighting some sort of lubrication problem as the possible cause for all the problems in the tranny. I just thought this was sweet, because any other manufacturer would probably just fix the clutch and call it good (or explain somehow that i had caused the clutch malfunction) but Polaris is actually giving me most of a new motor! hopefully no more problems... but just incase they extended my waranty another 3 months to next april. Thanks Polaris!

Hoopie,
The dealer was Planet Powersports in Coldwater, MI. as far as complaining and stuff, i didn't actually do any! i called Polaris and told them about my problems and they extended my waranty immediately.
When i came back after only having it over the weekend, Planet let me come into their garage with their service guy and actually talk with him and watch as he tore things apart. He had the clutch apart in about 10 mins and was trying to find burrs on the washer. In the mean time, he handed me a schematic to show me all the parts inside the thing. I asked if he had taken a look at the clutch basket bushing. He said he hadn't yet, and sure enough, that was scratched laterally, and bound the basket up solid. It was so bad that a 1/2 ton press couldn't seperate them. They said they would replace my entire clutch and i went home. Later that night they called me and said that they had been on the phone for "hours" and that Polaris was going to overnight them an entirely new case! essentially everything but the jug is being replaced due to a lubrication problem in mine that was causing those failures. sounds like min is a specific instance, so i wouldn't worry about yours. also, while the dealers work is great, i can also say that they seem to be experiencing some parts supply issues, which i'm more inclined to blame polaris for. Oh well, cya on the trails!

Never been to baldwin area. nice trails? I ride in Leota, st.helen, bulls gap, gladwin area. I would like to go out to Atlanta area. Looks like a lot of trails and good views. Maybe run into a elk. I been to silver lake also, Its alright. A pain in the rear though. Its good for a ond day trip. 400 acres is not real big. I prefer the trails over the dunes.
