Soo many tires...but yet i can only choose one. I have an 04 Kodiak 450 and cant make a choice between these tires...the 589s, the new Mudlite XTRs, the Mudlite XLs, and the Outlaw MSTs. I do know that I want a 26" tire. Im sure that they are all good quality tires..i just dont know which one is really the best fit for me? I was sold on the 589s at first..but then i got looking at all the other ones and then I started second guessing and couldnt decide. I do alot of hunting and woods riding.. but during the summer I hit a lot of mud with my buddies and I want to be able to put them to shame in the holes! I want a good trail tire with the best mud capability, if thats possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks

I was in the dilemma recently. Here's my take...
589 - kind of heavy, decent mud tire, rough on the trails, tends to grab roots, etc and can turn your wheels unexpectantly.
Mudlite XL - a pretty good compromise tire. Not great in the mud and not great on the trail, but pretty good in both.
Outlaws - They weren't on my research list, but I think they are pretty strictly a mud tire. Would probably suck on the trails.
Mudlite XTR - They are the most expensive, but they are a great mud tire and being a radial, offer a good ride on the trails. These were my choice. Check out this review - Click

i would say the 589s are the best mud tire of your list, then the mudlite xls, then MSTs, and Xtrs- i only have experience with the mudlites-i think 589s beacause they have the deepest lug and the most open tread. if you want to leave these tires to shame, i would look at interco vampires. i have interco tsl's and i would say that they are pretty good in mud-not as good as vampires or 589s-and are ok on the trail
good luck in your search, its a tough decision with so many tires too choose from--450kodman
