Default Arctic Cat's sucess and their engines

I posted this in another topic but I though people might want to discuss some of this.

Check the AC prospectus, they have deep cash reserves. No need to worry about AC not having enough to keep the entire line current. Emission standards will almost certainly require EFI very soon. The v-twin was not obtained through the Suzook Kawi agreement but thought a AC Kawi one, so how long the engine is in an AC is anyones guess, but look for all AC engines (including the most powerful big bore) in the AC line up shortly after their new engine plant comes online. AC's ATV is very profitable for them and the Prowler will be no different, so look for many inovations from them in the short term. The sucess of the ATV's eliminates the worry about sled cash woes in AC with low snow years since the ATV's have made up for that X 10.

Great post with alot of truth in it. I am just glad the atvs for Cat are taking off, since the snow
market is in a steady decline. I used to sled and race but lost interest due to the lack of snow
and now the rising cost of fuel.

It will be interesting what the fuel economy of future snomobiles will be, I expect Cat to come with a direct injection two stroke with awsome power and better than 4 stroke economy. I hate 4 stoke snowmobiles, drove them and just to heavy for the type of riding I do, off trail in the bush, and half the reason I ride is the power with surf board lite. The only place I found the 4 stroke tolerable was goomed trail and the only time I ride on a groomed trail is if it is on the way to where I am going. (yes I support the trail system with the permit) But up here we can ride a different trail every day all winter and ride on trails that have not been touched that year.(In the bush with tens of thousands of miles of bush trail with low population density)
