This may not mean much to you guys down south in those huge mud bogs, but as for me, I am totally impressed!

I went out riding with my buddy Zorro and his Shee and I tried a mudhole a bit over my Scramblers' potential of crossing. I made it halfway in and found myself pretty much up to the bottom of the seat in muddy water. The underbelly was on top of a submerged log. Good thing the log was there or else I would have sank/sunk for sure! I jumped off and could feel the quad balance from side to side on the log. I had a feeling there were 2 feet deep ruts under each tire. (my foot/leg found that out the hard way) So to make a long story short I kept on the gas a bit and tried to keep the quad balanced so as not to tip over to one side or the other. A friendly dune-buggier, with the help of my Banshee buddy running on the slippery bank with a tow-strap, finally pulled me out... what a rush!

What really impressed me is that my quad didn't take in any water?! Exhaust was submerged and part of the front too.I used to hit a small puddle and the belt got wet. Go figure!

Sorry about blabbing on...just happy

I love playing submarine with my Xplorer. I don't really care if there is any mud involved. All my buddies seem a little scared of water.

Too bad I can't hook up an outboard . . .

I know my machine isn't a mud machine, but I really enjoy trying to go through, water or mud. Most of the time I get stuck (see the pics ont he link on the signature), but I don't care, as long as there's a friend, with a tow strap...or just his arms. What's fun about mudding with a shee is that it's lightweight, and it can go through water quite deep for a sports machine (if I hadn't stalled in the mudhole, and I had had more grip, I would have went through)...when you get stuck, two people are really enough to lift the wheels...and continue!
PS. I thought we would see a fully liquid cooled scrambler (fortunately we didn't). Too bad that in the rush I didn't think about snapping a pic!
Come on Brian, do it again this week end!!

Xplor,
Enough with the Crazytalk... everyone knows that you can not use a rubber band tranny outdoors when the humidity level is over 20%, much less put the thing in water and have the belt not slip.

Sorry I got a little carried away there. Here's the real story: To be honest, I turned on the sprinkler and rode my quad through it a few times. It was fun but my belt slipped and the quad died... There you have it!

To rectify this problem I am installing sprokets inside the clutch cover... and a chain. It should work, but speed and RPM will always be the same!

No more slipping!

I have an idea Zorro, why don't we install some flotation devices on my floorboards and just hover over the water! Like 2 barrels or flotation blocks!

It might not corner too good or fit in the trailor though...or go in the tight trails...

You never know?!

Heres a little story for ya, I have a new HO with all of Gregs underwater protection. Thanks Greg! We where going up stream, with a Kodiak that had a snorkle, and the water level was getting deeper. So we went ashore to find cliffs so get back to the water. Well I went first and aimed to the rocks, well over the racks and getting deeper fast. Luck I hit a rock and it kick me to the side where I slid off. With one hand on the throttle we floated to the other side without a slip. The kodiak wasn't so fortunute, the snofkle never let the bike rev out. The thing went under and that is where it stayed, the water found the opening and rushed in and sank it like the Titanic.

I took my scrambler through a river to retrieve
a fishing lure and the thing started to float downstream. It was submerged up to the pipe the tires were floating about 3inches from the bottom so I got off and pushed it in reverse back to shore.
I got the lure though and my machine was spotless, as for me........I rather not get into it.LOL.
